The Prize of Soviet Estonia is a republican prize of the Estonian SSR , established on November 6, 1946 by a Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Council of the Estonian SSR [1] .

The award regulation was amended in 1959 and 1965. The Soviet Estonia Prize was awarded in 1947–1950, 1959, 1965, 1967, 1970, 1972, 1975, 1977 and 1980. Since 1965, the prize has been awarded twice in five years. [one]
The prize was awarded for outstanding achievements in the fields of science, technology and production, architecture and construction, literature, journalism and journalism, visual arts, music and theater and cinema, until 1959 also in the field of education, cultural education, amateur performances, health care and physical education and sports [1] .
The prize was received by 279 groups and more than 1300 individuals, among them choir conductor, composer and teacher Gustav Ernesaks - 6 times, artist and teacher Evald Okas - 6 times [1] .
In 1982, the Estonian SSR State Prize was established instead of the Soviet Estonia Prize .
