Biography

Born on January 6, 1910 in the city of Mariupol, now Donetsk region of Ukraine.

After graduating from high school, FZU worked as a mechanic at the Mariupol plant named after Ilyich. In 1931 he entered the Kharkov Aviation Institute (now the National Aerospace University named after N.E. Zhukovsky ), after which he worked as a process engineer, deputy workshop chief, workshop head at the Kharkov Aviation Plant.

Since 1949 he lived and worked in Rostov-on-Don. He was the head of the workshop, the secretary of the party committee at the Rostov Helicopter Plant, the secretary of the Oktyabrsky District Committee of the CPSU. In 1957-1961 - Deputy Chairman of the Rostov-on-Don City Executive Committee. In 1961 he was appointed head of the production and cooperation department at the Instrumentation Industry Directorate of the National Economy Council of the Rostov Economic Administrative Region.

From August 1961 to 1986 he was the director of the plant, then the general director of the Granit production association, the city of Rostov-on-Don. For 25 years he led a defense company that produced electronic devices for the USSR Air Defense Forces. Under his leadership, the association carried out the plan for all technical and economic indicators, the factory was under reconstruction, new products were put into production, residential buildings were built. For its achievements, Granit Production Association was awarded the Order of the Red Banner of Labor.

In addition to production, he was engaged in social activities. He was a delegate to the XXVI Congress of the CPSU (1981), was elected a deputy of the Rostov Regional Council of People's Deputies.

Since 1986, Viktor Dmitrievich was retired. He lived in Rostov-on-Don.

He died on January 15, 1993.

Awards

  • By a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR dated March 10, 1981, Viktor Dmitrievich Zagrebaev was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Hammer and Sickle Medal.
  • He was also awarded the Second Order of Lenin (1971), the Orders of the October Revolution (1974), the Red Banner of Labor (1966), the Badge of Honor (1957) and the Red Star (1945), as well as medals.
