History
New Catholic Temple
In 2005 , the construction of a Catholic church was started in the city of Ulan-Ude . [one]
The consecration was performed by His Grace Bishop Kirill Klimovich on June 5, 2005 . [2]
Ulan-Ude Historical Catholic Temple
In the early twentieth century, the initiators of the construction of the temple were the Udine Catholics V. Zalevsky, I.L. Heisey, G.L. Khrositsky. In 1907 , they wrote a petition to the city council on the allocation of a plot of land for the construction of the temple.
The consecration of the church took place on July 24, 1909 . The consecration ceremony was performed by the Mogilev bishop Jan Tseplyak. The Catholic temple lasted 21 years.
In 1930 , the church in Verkhneudinsk was liquidated. [3]
