Biography
Atminap was forced to flee Persia during the reign of Artaxerxes of Okha . The exile found refuge with the Macedonian king Philip II . Apparently, there he met with the heir - the future Alexander the Great .
The name Atminap is again mentioned in the sources when describing the circumstances of the bloodless surrender of Egypt in 322 BC. e. the victorious Macedonian army was the last Achaemenid governor of the country Mazak .
Subsequently, while in Hyrcania, Alexander appointed in 330 BC. e. Atminapa "satrap of Parthians and Girkans." At the same time, "Tripolem, the son of Pithophanes, one of the" friends ", he set to watch what is being done in Parthia and Hyrcania."
Soon, however, for unknown reasons, Atminap was replaced by Fratofern .
The further fate of Atminap is unknown.
