Club career

He started playing football in the children's teams of Pärnu. In 1989–1990, he performed in the Estonian SSR Championship for the Fish Factory from Pärnu, in 1991 he moved to Flora.

At the professional level, he made his debut in the first independent championship of Estonia , in 1992, as part of the Tallinn Flora . He played for the Tallinn club for about 10 years, played more than 100 matches and became a repeated champion and medalist of the national championship. In the mid-1990s, he lost his place in the main part of the club and several times rented out to Estonian clubs in the top and first divisions, and in 1997 he played in Sweden for Visby Gute. After returning from Sweden, he returned to the foundation of Flora.

In 2001, he went abroad again to Norwegian Honefoss , but there he could not become a player in the main team, having played only five matches in four seasons. The debut match in the first division of Norway played on May 24, 2001 against Orn-Horten (3: 3) ^[1] . In 2005-2006, he played in Norway for the club "Trögstad-Bostad", who played in one of the lower divisions.

In 2007 he returned to Estonia and played for the underdog of the major league Tulevik . In mid-2008, he moved to the first league club Flora (Rakvere), where he spent six months, after which he ended his professional career. Since 2009, he has played at the amateur level for the club Eesti Kondis (later renamed “Retro”), sometimes went to the position of a field player and scored several goals.

Also played in mini-football , in 2010 he became the champion of Estonia.

Career in the national team

He played 14 matches for the youth team of Estonia.

He made his debut in the national team of Estonia on July 29, 1994 in a match against Lithuania (0: 3), having played the first half and conceding two goals ^[2] . Due to unsuccessful national team performances in 1994-1995, the goalkeeper had to miss a lot of goals, three times during this period his team suffered a defeat with a score of 0: 7. The goalkeeper played his first “dry” match only in the eighth game, November 27, 1997 against the Philippines (1: 0) ^[3] . The last match for the national team goalkeeper played August 16, 2000 against Andorra ^[4] .

In total for the Estonian national team in 1994-2000, played 24 matches and missed 52 goals. Only one match goalkeeper spent in the qualifying tournament of the World Cup, five more matches in the Baltic Cup, the rest - friendlies.
