Nguyen Thanh Ngi (born October 20, 1952, Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam ) is a doctor of physical and mathematical sciences ( 1989 ), professor ( 1991 ), organizer and active member of the Vietnam Alumni Association of the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute named after V.I. Ulyanov (Lenin) . Foreign member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences ( 1996 ). Honorary Professor of St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University ( 2011 ).

Biography
Born October 20, 1952 in Thanh Hoa Province, Vietnam . In 1976, Nguyen Thanh Ngi graduated from the Electrophysical Department of the Leningrad Electrotechnical Institute (LETI) with a degree in dielectrics and semiconductors.
From 1976 to 1979, he was a researcher at the Institute of Physics of the Academy of Sciences of Vietnam. He was a research fellow at the Space Research Institute (IKI) of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR ( 1980 - 1983 ). From 1984 to 1986, he headed the department of semiconductor materials of the Institute of Physics, the Academy of Sciences of Vietnam, and from 1988 to 1990 he was the head of the department of crystalline materials of the Institute of Physics, the Academy of Sciences of Vietnam .
1986 - 1988 - worked as a senior researcher at the Institute of Electronic Physics of the Academy of Sciences of the GDR .
Nguyen Thanh Ngi, was a leading researcher at the Institute of Cybernetics Problems (IPC) of the Russian Academy of Sciences and deputy director of the International Laboratory for Information Technology Problems ( 1991 - 1992 ).
He worked as the chief researcher at the Institute of Materials Science of the Academy of Sciences of Vietnam and was an assistant to the President of the Academy of Sciences and Technologies of Vietnam from 1993 to 2002.
1996 - 1999 - Nguyen Thanh Ngi, Leading Researcher, Institute of High Performance Computing Systems (IVVS) RAS, from 1999 to 2002, Leading Researcher, Institute of Microprocessor Computing Systems (IMVS) RAS.
From 1996 to 2002, he was the main coordinator for joint scientific projects of cooperation between the Academy of Sciences of Vietnam and the Russian Academy of Sciences in the field of metallurgy, telecommunications and computer science.
Since 2005, Nguyen Thanh Ngi has served as Head of the Department of Research and International Cooperation of the Hanoi Open University; Vice Rector of Hanoi Open University ( 2007 ).
Nguyen Thanh Ngi is the head of theses and dissertations in Vietnam , Russia , Ukraine , he is the coordinator of the Program of scientific and technological cooperation between the Academy of Sciences of Vietnam and the Russian Academy of Sciences.
2004 - Representative of St. Petersburg State Electrotechnical University at the Hanoi University of Technology (KhTU).
2005 - Representative of the Russian State Technological University .
2002 - 2011 - Nguyen Thanh Ngi coordinator of the joint educational program LETI-KhTU in the field of "Computer Science and Computer Engineering"; within the framework of this program, 435 Vietnamese citizens successfully completed their studies and received bachelor's degrees.
2005 - 2013 - Nguyen Thanh Ngi is the head of the MATI-HOU joint educational program in the field of “Computer Science and Computer Engineering”.
Nguyen Thanh Ngi has published 58 scientific papers in Vietnam , Russia , England , USA , Italy , Germany , France .
Nguyen Thanh Ngi works at the Hanoi Open University (HOU) under the Ministry of Education and Training of Vietnam .
