Maly Sasik ( ukr. Maliy Sasik ) is a lake located in the south of the Tatarbunarsky district ( Odessa region ). The water surface area is 2.36 km² or 2.7 km² [1] . The type of total mineralization is bland, previously it was salty . The origin is liman. The group of the hydrological regime is drainless .

Geography
The lake belongs to the group of lakes Tuzlovsky estuaries . The length is 4.47 km. The average width is 0.5 km, the largest is 0.99 km. Height above sea level: −0.4 m. The nearest settlement is the village of Primorskoye , located north of the lake. Directly off the northern coast of the lake is the resort Rasseika .
Lake Small Sasik is separated from the Black Sea by a sandy isthmus, along which the road passes without a hard surface (ground). The lake basin of a reservoir of irregular elongated shape, extending from the north-east to south-west. The coast is gentle, except for some in the north - steep with the beach. The coast with abundant coastal aquatic vegetation. Rivers do not flow. The western part of the lake is divided by several pedestrian crossings (bridges that connect the resort Rasseika with the beach), in the eastern part there are shallows. To the north adjoins Lake Shagany (through the natural isthmus), to the west - Lake Dzhantshey (through the artificially fixed isthmus). Through the weak and tortuous channel communicates with Lake Shagany.
The water level of the lake depends on the sea level and the intensity of groundwater exchange with it (infiltration).
There is a discharge of water under the influence of natural factors from the salt lake Shagany, which negatively affects the aquatic fauna [2] .
Economic Values
It is part of the Tuzlov estuaries National Natural Park, established on January 1, 2010 with a total area of 27,865 hectares. Used for recreation and fishing. There is therapeutic mud in the lake [3] .
