Fedor Yakovlevich Primak ( April 23, 1899 , Tatarivka - September 9, 1981 , Kiev) - Ukrainian Soviet physician, doctor of medical sciences (1936), professor (1939). Honored Worker of Science and Technology of the Ukrainian SSR (1964). Member of the Board of the Ukrainian Republican Scientific Society of Therapists, editorial board of the journal "Medical business".

Biography

Fedor Yakovlevich Primak was born on April 23, 1899 in the village of Tatarivka, Chernihiv province (now Sofiyivka, Nosovsky district, Chernihiv region) into a peasant family. He studied at the Nizhyn gymnasium. In 1918 he entered the medical faculty of Kiev University, which during the training period was reorganized into the Kiev Medical Institute (now the A. A. Bogomolets National Medical University ).

At the end of the institute, in 1924, he underwent an internship in medical institute clinics and in the Bobrovitsky district hospital of the Chernihiv province. In 1925-1928, at the invitation of Academician Feofil Gavrilovich Yanovsky, he worked as a resident in the therapeutic clinic of the Kiev Medical Institute, and from 1928 to 1932 he was a graduate student. In 1932-1936, he was a researcher in the clinical department of the Kiev Research Institute of Experimental Biology and Pathology, in 1936-1940, the Kiev Research Institute of Clinical Medicine and the Institute of Physiology of the Academy of Sciences of the Ukrainian SSR in 1938-1940. In combination, from 1937-1940 - associate professor of faculty therapy at the Kiev Medical Institute. In 1941, he headed the department of faculty therapy at the Lviv Medical Institute. In 1941-1946, he held the position of chief therapist of military hospitals in Bashkiria, and in 1942-1943, he worked as a professor in the department of faculty therapy at the Medical Institute in Ufa. In 1947-1952 - professor of the department of faculty therapy, from 1952-1973 - head, in 1973-1978 - professor of the department of propaedeutics of internal diseases of the Kiev Medical Institute.

Fedor Yakovlevich Primak died on September 9, 1981. He was buried in Kiev at the Baykovsky cemetery.

Research interests: angiology, in particular, the study of the role of changes in the protein composition of the blood, vascular wall in the pathogenesis of edema; changes in skin capillaries with rheumatism, capillaries and the vascular bed of the body with anaphylaxis and allergic reactions; histophysiology of the lymphatic system of the heart is normal and pathological; diagnosis, clinic and treatment of tuberculosis, hypertension, wound sepsis, hypoxic conditions, etc.

Under the leadership of F. Primak, 27 candidates, 6 doctors of sciences were trained. The author of about 190 scientific and educational works, among them two monographs.
