Biography
He was born on September 1 (14), 1910 in the village of Nasadnikovo in the Kotlas County. In April 1930 he moved to Arkhangelsk to his father - the boatswain of the Azimut hydrographic vessel.
He graduated from the Arkhangelsk Maritime College (1940, evening department) and the Academy of the Navy (Leningrad, 1953).
Since 1930, a sailor on the hydrographic ship "Azimut". In 1934-1936 military service in a submarine of the Baltic Fleet . From 1937, assistant to the captain of the Sadko icebreaker, the Lenin icebreaker, and others. From May 1942 to November 1945, the 2nd navigator of the Montcalm icebreaker.
In 1945-1954, the senior navigator of the Vereshchagin steamboat, the captain of the Pinega, Kazakhstan steamboats, and the George Sedov icebreaking steamer. He participated in the first voyage of the Ob diesel diesel-electric ship to the shores of Antarctica as a backup captain (1955-1956).
Since 1957, the captain of the diesel-electric ship "Indigirka". He performed the Severomorsk – Cuba flight (from September 16 to October 4, 1962) for the delivery of nuclear ammunition to Liberty Island ( Operation Anadyr ).
Since 1969, retired. He died in Arkhangelsk, was buried in the Kuznechevsky (Vologda) cemetery.
