George Masser (1965) - American journalist, famous author of non-fiction. Editor of Scientific American magazine. She is the author of The Complete Idiot's Guide to String Theory [2] and Spooky Action at a Distance: The Phenomenon That Reimagines Space and Time-and What It Means for Black Holes, the Big Bang, and Theories of Everything [3] .

Career
He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering and Mathematics from Brown University ; He completed graduate studies in planetology at Cornell University , receiving a National Science Foundation Graduate Fellow scholarship for this. He defended his thesis on the geology of Venus , which made it possible to explain the phenomenon of the discovered by the Magellan Orbiter apparatus. He worked as the editor of the magazine ; also edited a series of training manuals for the Astronomical Society of the Pacific (San Francisco).
A number of Masser's articles have been included at various times in the anthology of the best American popular science publications (The Best American Science & Nature Writing anthologies). He was the initiator and one of the chief editors of the Scientific American special issue on the nature of time ("A Matter of Time," September, 2002), which subsequently received the . He coordinated a special issue of the magazine dedicated to planetary problems of the Earth (Crossroads for Planet Earth, September 2005), which reached the final of the National Magazine Award. In 2010, he received the , which is awarded for popular science publications on planetology [4] [5] . In 2011, he was awarded the prize for the popular science work of the American Institute of Physics for the article "Can Time End?" (Scientific American, September 2010) [6] .
