Scandals
In May 2019, Murat Kusainov was fined 12,625 tenge (5 MCI ) for petty hooliganism. The court found that Kusainov, during the search at the airport of Nur-Sultan, expressed obscene language at the customs officers, thereby disrespectful to society, disrupted the public order and calm of individuals. The musician did not dispute the fact and circumstances of the offense, fully pleaded guilty, repented of his deed, committed to pay the fine [2] . In June 2019, in connection with the same incident at the airport, a criminal case was opened against the artist in accordance with Part 1 of Article 378 “Insulting a Representative of the Government” [3] . On June 20, 2019, based on the results of the criminal case, Murat Kusainov was found guilty of insulting the authorities in the performance of their official duties and, by the verdict of the court, he was released from criminal liability in connection with active repentance [4] .
