Nikolai Ivanovich Sidelnikov (born November 3, 1956, Kyrgyzstan) is a Russian scientist, specialist in medicinal plant growing, plant protection and biotechnology. Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences (2016), Doctor of Agricultural Sciences (2014). Since 2013, Director of the All-Russian Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants (VILAR).

Biography
Born in with. Sosnovka Kalinin district of the Kyrgyz SSR. He graduated from the Kyrgyz Agricultural Institute. K.I. Scriabin (1985).
Prior to his appointment in 2013 as director of the All-Russian Research Institute of Medicinal and Aromatic Plants, in 2011-2013. In the same place he was deputy director and head of the Center for Plant Growing, and in 2000-2011 he worked as the director of a branch of this research institute.
Member of the editorial board of the scientific and practical journal "Questions of biological, medical and pharmaceutical chemistry."
He is a member of the supervisory board of the Association of manufacturers and consumers of traditional herbal medicines [1] . Full member of the Public Academy of Alternative and Rare Plants (2015).
He was awarded diplomas and thanks of the Russian Agricultural Academy, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation, commemorative medals of the Central Committee of the Communist Party.
He has published more than 110 scientific papers, including six monographs. It appears as a co-author in the inventions of the USSR and as a co-author in 16 inventions of the Russian Federation.
