Creativity
He has numerous elegies, poems with political satire, epigrams. The elegy of Yanitsky reflected the images of Italy, modern political events, and memories of classical antiquity. The ancient world was a source of inspiration for the poet. The cycle of short, 12 lines of verses by K. Yanitsky with a pronounced plebeian self-identity, devoted to Polish history from the forefather Lech, who allegedly came from Dalmatia, and the legendary maiden Vanda to Sigismund the Old, gained wide popularity and survived several editions and was read back in the 17th century.
Folk humor sounds in the satirical dialogue of Yanitsky about the variegation of Polish costumes and the variability of customs. The participants in the conversation are King Jagiello, who returned from the kingdom of shadows, and Stanchik, the court jester. In the poem “Complaint to the Commonwealth”, Yanitsky continued the political satire of Andrzej Krzycki, but from the perspective of a commoner, a peasant son.
