Biography
Born September 24, 1813.
He was educated in Uppsala , and later practiced medicine in the communes of Lycksele and Ernsköldsvik [3] . Together with Fredrik Nyulander (1820-1880), he conducted botanical research in Lapland , Finland and Karelia [4] .
He died on January 19, 1879 in Ornskoldsvik .
Botanical eponyms
The genus Aongstroemia ( Bruch & Schimp. , 1846 ) is named after him [5] .
