Kapitana Birkova Street is a 1.44 km long street located on the edge of the third terrace and occupying a bump from Knipovich Street in the Varnichniy stream valley to Karl Marx Street in Murmansk .

On December 18, 1965, the street was named after Konstantin Burkov , captain of the fishing fleet, a participant in the Soviet-Finnish and World War II [3] . Earlier, part of the street north of school No. 1 was called Belomorskaya, and the southern part was called Polyarnye Zori (later this name was transferred to a parallel street ) [4] .
From Kapitan Burkova Street to the central part of Murmansk there are only two downhill roads - Karl Marx Street and Knipovich Street [4] .
