All-China Congress of the Chinese Communist Party ( Chinese trade. 中國 共產黨 全國 代表 大會 , exercise. ) [1] . The congress elects the Central Committee , which leads the party in between congresses and reports to the congress.
The congress has the following powers:
- hears and reviews the report of the Central Committee;
- hears and reviews reports of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection ;
- discusses and makes decisions on the most important issues of the party;
- revises the Party Charter;
- elects a central committee;
- elects the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection [2] .
According to the modern version of the CPC Charter, a congress is convened at least once every 5 years. The congress can be convened ahead of schedule at the request of the Central Committee or at least 1/3 of the party organizations of the provincial level [3] . Since the creation of the party, a total of 19 congresses have passed - the first in 1921 , the last in 2017 .
