Leif B. Andersson ( Leif B. Andersson , born September 17, 1954, Stockholm) - Swedish geneticist, specialist in domesticated animals. Professor of Uppsala University , member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and the American Philosophical Society (2017), foreign member of the NAS of the USA (2012). Biography
He graduated from Stockholm University (bachelor, 1979), where he studied chemistry and biology. He received his Ph.D. in 1984 from the Swedish Agricultural University. In 1986, he became an assistant professor there, and in 1992, a professor (in animal genetics). In 2003, he was a visiting professor at Uppsala University, in 2006 he became a professor there, and at the Swedish Agricultural University - a visiting professor, he holds both last positions to this day.
Member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Forestry and Agriculture (2001), the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences (2002), the Royal Physiographic Society in Lund (2004), the (2007), EMBO (2008).
The author of more than 300 scientific publications.
