Ponomarenko, Gennady Nikolaevich

Born in the family of a soldier.

In 1983 he graduated with honors from the Military Medical Academy. SM Kirov in the specialty "medical and preventive care", in 1988 - the Physics Department of the Leningrad State University. A. A. Zhdanov with a degree in Radio Physics, in 2000 with honors from the North-West Academy of Public Service with a degree in State and Municipal Management.

From 1983 to 1986, he served as a doctor in an aviation regiment.

From September 1986 - Junior Researcher; Lecturer, Department of Biological and Medical Physics; teacher - head of the physiotherapy department of the department of general therapy; Professor of the Department of General Therapy S.M. Kirov.

Since April 1997 - Chief Physical Therapist of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

In 1988 and in 1993 defended his thesis and doctoral thesis on the mechanisms of chemoreception and sensory perception of low-frequency acoustic vibrations. In 2000 he was awarded the title of professor.

The conducted research allowed formulating the theoretical foundations and patterns of physical and rehabilitation medicine, as well as a number of concepts: sensory perception of low-frequency acoustic vibrations (1993); the heterogeneity of physiotherapy (1999); genetic determination of the therapeutic effects of physical factors (2003); personalized physiotherapy) (2003); evidence-based physiotherapy (2003); variant climatobalneotherapy (2005); structural and functional tissue remodeling by therapeutic physical factors (2007); physiotherapy support of sports activities (2009), innovative physiotherapy (2010), medical and psychological rehabilitation of persons with disadaptosis (2015); health-improving recreation (2016).

I develop and test new high-tech physical treatments (bioreguliruemaya aeroionotherapy, Haloinhalation therapy, ion-parametric magnetic, vibrovakuumterapiya, transcranial, slozhnomodulirovannaya low-frequency magnetic therapy), the principles and methods of physical therapy marketing, economic analysis of physiotherapy and spa services and consulting in physiotherapy.

G. N. Ponomarenko formed a scientific school - during his consultations 11 doctoral theses were defended, and under his leadership - 46 master’s theses. A number of students of G. N. Ponomarenko created their own scientific schools and are the heads of medical institutions.

He is the author of more than 800 scientific and educational works, including 50 monographs, 10 textbooks, 12 manuals and reference books, 5 inventions.
He is the title editor of the National Guidelines “Physical Therapy” (2009, 2013, 2014), “Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine” (2016, 20170. ”Rehabilitation of Disabled Persons” (2018)) published within the framework of the National Health Project (2016, 20170), which combined the efforts of more than 150 domestic specialists in this area.

He is the author of textbooks on general physiotherapy (1996, 1997, 1998, 2003 (together with Academician of RAMS V. M. Bogolyubov), 2008, 2011, 2013, 2014), medical rehabilitation (2016) for students of medical universities of Russia 2008), students of the system postgraduate education (“Private Physiotherapy”, 2005) and nursing staff (2011, 2015). For the first time in Russia, students and trainees began to study physical methods of treatment in accordance with the syndrome-pathogenetic classification of physical methods of treatment developed by G. N. Ponomarenko.

G. N.
