Geographical position
Chistop Mountain is located in the Ivdelsky urban district of the Sverdlovsk region , the highest peak of the Chistop ridge, located in the northern part of the ridge. The western and northern slopes are very steep, the eastern slope along the valley of the Tosamya River is gently sloping. The height of the Chistop Mountains is 1292 meters. Up to 750 meters, the mountain is covered with light forest, tundra and stone placers [1] .
Description
Until the 1990s, a radar station was located on a flat top of the mountain, from which the dome foundation and the remnants of destroyed farm buildings have been preserved. From the side of the village Ushma to the summit leads an all-terrain road. The vertex has a class of complexity - 1A [1] . The Chistop range is located on the Ushma River watershed from the north and the Northern Toshemka River from the south, which borders Chistop from the east. On the eastern gentle slope of the massif, 5 large streams originate, on a very steep western slope, 6 small streams [2] .
Mountain History
The mountain is part of the famous "Mansiysk Triangle", where paranormal phenomena were noted [3] .
Flora and fauna
On the mountain there are many botanical rarities of our region, representatives of the Arctic and South Siberian flora [3] .
