Description
Robelin date is a small or medium, slowly growing thin tree of 2-3 meters in height. Leaves reach from 60 cm to 120 cm in length, feathery venation , on one handle can be up to 100 leaf plates. Each plate has a length of 15-25 cm and about 1 cm in width, slightly lowered, gray-green in color with a fluffy patina at the bottom.
The flowers are small, yellowish, growing on the inflorescence of 45 cm in length. The fruit is a drupe with fine pulp.
Cultivation and use
Patelle boiseum is a popular ornamental plant in tropical or subtropical gardens. Maintains frosts up to −3 ° C. In cooler climates it is grown in greenhouses or as a houseplant. It does not require significant pruning to form, is resistant to pests and parasites, tolerant to changes in the soil, and drought-resistant. The plant grows completely in the sun and in partial shade.
