Biography
Born in the family of a soldier.
He graduated from the Leningrad Military Mechanical Institute (1956, the faculty of ammunition, specialty "pipes, fuses and firing systems") and until 2001 worked in KB-11 (All-Russian Research Institute of Experimental Physics, Sarov, former Arzamas-16): research engineer, head Testing Brigade, Deputy Head of the Scientific Testing Department (1957), Head of the Department (1958), Deputy Chief Designer for External Testing (1967), Head of the 9th Division (1973), First Deputy Chief Designer (1982), Chief Designer and Head KB-2 (1990-1998), per First Deputy Chief Designer (1998-2001).
He participated in the development of nuclear missile systems, constructive-integrated schemes, nuclear munitions of various classes.
Suddenly died on January 29, 2001 in a hospital where he was on preventive treatment.
