Anomochilus monticola (lat.) - a species of snakes from the family Anomochilidae . Endemic to the northern part of the island of Kalimantana , where so far it has been found only in the Malaysian Kinabalu National Park [1] .

The species is described recently and is known for only three copies. It lives in mountain forests at altitudes of 1450-1513 m above sea level. Presumably, lives in holes [2] [3] .
Reaches a length of at least 509 mm. The head is not separated from the body. The snake has small, with a diameter of only 1.2 mm, eyes and a short tail.
