Biography and career
In 1994, Stahelsky participated in the filming of Alex Proyas 's film " Raven ". After the death of the lead actor Brandon Lee on the set, Stahelsky, who was his understudy, played the role of Eric Draven in the remaining few scenes (with the help of special effects, Brandon Lee was superimposed on Stahelski). In 1999, due to the resemblance to Keanu Reeves , he became his understudy in the film " The Matrix " and the sequels. [2] In 2005, he was a backup of Hugo Weaving in the action movie “ V means Vendetta, ” in the scene where V leaves the concentration camp through fire. A special refractory gel was applied to Stahelski’s body. [3]
In 2014, Chad Stahelsky again paired with Reeves, this time as a director - Stahelsky shot an action thriller scripted by Derek Colstad called “ John Wick ”, which raised $ 88 million worldwide.
