History of Deep Time ( Deep Time History ) is a three-part documentary produced by CuriosityStream ( video on demand service ) and Flight 33 Productions. All three series were announced at the launch of CuriosityStream in January 2015 [3] . The host of the series is Professor of the University of California at Fullerton Jonathan Markley [4] with the participation of Michio Kaku and others.

The series examines the driving forces of human history based on the concept of deep time . Each 50-minute series considers the events of human history from the point of view of physics , geology , biology and chemistry - that is, how long-term natural processes have influenced world history. It is shown how natural processes influence the course of human history - along with innovations, political decisions and military victories that make up the content of human activity. All three episodes were released in July 2016 [5] .
