Biography

Born February 15, 1932 in Leningrad.

He graduated from the Leningrad Polytechnic Institute (1955).

In 1955-1965 Junior Researcher, Leningrad Institute of Physics and Technology named after A.F. Ioffe .

Since 1965, senior researcher, head of department, leading researcher, chief researcher at the JINR Laboratory of Nuclear Reactions.

Doctor of physico-mathematical sciences (1978). Professor of Moscow State University and MEPhI (the title of professor was awarded in 1990).

Specialist in the study of the properties of atomic nuclei. He supervised the work on the study of spontaneously fissile isomers, as well as isomers formed in photonuclear reactions, and the creation of an experimental setup on the basis of a precision laser spectrometer to study the structure of nuclei.

The State Prize of 1968 (as part of a team) - for a series of works on the study of the Coulomb excitation of nuclei (1956-1966). Honorary Worker of Science MPR.

He was awarded the medal "For Valiant Labor. In commemoration of the centenary of the birth of V.I. Lenin "," In memory of the 850th anniversary of Moscow ", the R. Etves Medal (Hungary).

He died on July 28, 2013 after a severe long illness.
