Victory Medal ( Pers. نشان فتح , Eng. Fath Medal ) is the highest military award of the Islamic Republic of Iran , which has been awarded since September 27, 1989 by the Supreme Commander . [one]

Award Statute
The medal depicts three palm leaves over the Great Mosque of Khorramshahr , the flag of Iran and the Persian word “Fatah” (victory). [one]

The medal has three classes: 1st grade is awarded to generals; 2nd grade established for colonels; 3rd grade for other officers. [2]

The first medals were awarded to the heroes of the Iran-Iraq war :
- Mohammad Hossein Fahmide (1967-1980), 13-year-old volunteer of the Basij Corps (posthumous)
- Mohsen Rezayi , Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps
- Ali Sayyad-Shirazi , Commander of the Ground Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran
21 people received the 2nd grade of the medal, 29 officers were awarded the 3rd grade of the medal. [one]
