The village is located in the southwestern part of the Lipetsk region, in the forest-steppe zone, within the Central Russian Upland , on the left bank of the Olshanets River, at a distance of about 8 kilometers (as the crow flies) north of the village of Terbuny , the administrative center of the district. The absolute height is 202 meters above sea ​​level [2] . The climate is temperate continental with warm summers and moderately frosty winters. Annual precipitation is 450–500 mm.
