Sports career
Bernadette Haidum was born in the capital of Hungary - Budapest . From the age of eight she started skating after her elder sister invited her to practice with her. Currently he is training on the basis of the club "MTK Budapest". In the national team, Hungarian specialist Akos Banhidi ( Hungarian Akos Banhidi ) and Chinese Zhang Jing responsible for her training [1] [2] .
Heidum won her first medal in international competitions at the European Short Track Championship 2006 , which took place in the Polish city of Krynica-Zdroj . In the women's relay, the Hungarian team finished third with a score of 4: 30.274 (+2.83), giving up higher positions to rivals from France (4: 28.388 (+0.95) - 2nd place) and Italy (4: 27.436 - 1st place ) [3] [4] .
At the 2018 Winter Olympics , third in her career, Bernadette Haidum was announced to participate in the relay . On February 20, the Hungarian short trekist 4: 03.603 finished second and lost the fight for bronze medals to rivals from the Netherlands (4: 03.471 (world time record) - 1st place) in the women's relay at the finals. .
