Ligeria

Lizherika is an old Croatian string instrument. Traditional motifs can be heard on it today, mainly lyricism is an accompaniment for dancing. As in former times, the “Dance of the Adriatic Region”, spread along the coast of Croatia and on nearby islands, is performed to the music of the lyricists. Pair dance is historically conducted in a circle, in another version of the movement of people performed opposite each other. In the first case, they simultaneously sang national songs. Sometimes the musical accompaniment was supplemented by other instruments: mih - bagpipes and tambourines - Croatian mandolin.
