Fanny Maria Alving ( Swede. Fanny Alving ; October 23, 1874 - June 2, 1955 ) is a Swedish writer who worked under the pseudonyms Fanny Norrman and Ulrik Uland et al. [4] [5] .

Biography
Fanny Maria Alving was born on October 23, 1874 in the city of Ytterselö, Södermanland . Her parents were captain Auguste Lenn (August Lönn, 1837-1920) and Erika Karlovna Persdotter Jonsson (Erika Charlotta Persdotter Jonsson). The girl studied at the Palmgrenska Samskolan co-educational school in Stockholm , where she entered in 1893. From 1898 to 1905, she was married to a working statistician, Sven Norrman, and from 1906 to a linguist and teacher, Hjalmar Alving. Her daughter, Barbro Alving (1909-1987) worked as a journalist [6] .
At one time, Alving traveled to Norway, Denmark and other European countries. From 1894 to 1898 she worked as a correspondent at the Greek Consulate in Malmö . Subsequently, until 1901 she worked in the Strix magazine in Stockholm , signing her articles with the pseudonym Maja X. As a prose writer, she wrote under the pseudonym Ulrik Uhland, but also used the names Fanny Norrman and Fanny Alving ( Fanny Alving) [7] .
Fanny Alving was one of the few Swedes who described in their works the lives of ordinary poor people. So, her detective novel Josefssons på Drottninggatan describes the life of people from Stockholm [8] .
