Biography
Born in a working class family. Russian. Member of the CPSU since 1939 .
He graduated from 10 classes, he studied at the medical institute. He worked at the locomotive depot in Atkarsk.
In the Red Army since 1937. In 1940 he graduated from Engels Military Aviation Pilot School.
On the fronts of World War II from March 1943.
Squadron commander of the 431st assault air regiment ( 299th Shad , 16th Air Army , 1st Belorussian Front ), senior lieutenant.
By July 1944 , he made 112 combat sorties on an IL-2 aircraft to attack railroad trains, warehouses, manpower and enemy equipment, and shot down 3 enemy planes in air battles.
The title of Hero of the Soviet Union was awarded on October 26, 1944.
In 1949 he graduated from the Air Force Academy .
Since 1951 , in flight test work in the GK NII VVS .
In 1959 he went to the reserve in the rank of colonel.
From 1961, he worked at LII as a flight director, head of the air traffic control complex of LITSI LII in the city of Zhukovsky, Moscow Region .
He was awarded the Order of Lenin , 4 orders of the Red Banner , orders of Alexander Nevsky , World War 1 degree, 2 orders of the Red Star , medals.
Memory
- The name of the Hero named streets in the cities of Zhukovsky, Moscow region and Slutsk, Minsk region . Honorary citizen of Slutsk.
- In 2015, a bust was installed on the Alley of Heroes in Atkarsk, Nikolai Sergeyevich Lackov [1] .
