Biography
Born on August 22, 1968 in Kirovabad. Has a sister, singer Shakhnaz Gashimova . She made her debut on the Azerbaijani scene in 1979 as part of the children's choir Bülbüllər , a little later she made her solo debut, and sang over 100 songs. She was a member of the jury of the Azerbaijani contest "People's Star", also starred in two films.
Personal life
Aybeniz Gashimova married Khalid Kuliyev (1962–92) and gave birth to a daughter, Ainishan Kuliyeva (1991), now an Azerbaijani singer. The singer’s husband tragically died during the war in Nagorno-Karabakh. By the decree of the President of Azerbaijan, Khalid Kuliyev was awarded the posthumous medal posthumously, his wife received the medal.
