Postnikova-Loseva Marina Mikhailovna (August 3, 1901, Moscow - June 22, 1985, Moscow ) - art critic, Soviet museum worker, one of the creators of the science of Russian jewelry art, doctor of art history (1971), author of more than 50 works.

Biography
She was born in the family of the artist Evdokia Ivanovna Loseva (nee Chizhova, 1881–1936) and her first husband Mikhail Lukich Losev (1851–1912), the largest chemist-technologist, an honorary citizen of Moscow. Father - museum worker Nikolai Dmitrievich Bartram [1] .
In Marina’s childhood and youth, KF had been guests at their home. Yuon , Nikolay Ge , Alexander Blok , Igor Severyanin . Later, Marina served as a model for one of the last works of the sculptor Anna Golubkina - the famous “Birch” [2] .
In 1919 she graduated from Alferov gymnasium with a gold medal [2] . In 1924 she graduated from the Faculty of History and Philology of Moscow State University , Department of Theory and History of Art. Its supervisor was the famous art historian A.I. Nekrasov [2] .
Scientific Activities
In 1919-1931 she worked in the Armory Chamber in the department of textiles, weapons, precious metals, participated in the creation of her first exposition in Soviet times. [1] In 1922-1929 she was the secretary of the Academic Council of the museum. In 1930, she organized and headed the Russian Silver Department, studied the activities of other art workshops of the Moscow Kremlin [1] .
In 1931-1985 she worked in the precious metals department of the Historical Museum (from 1959 to 1977 she was the head of the department), participated in the evacuation and rescue of museum valuables during the Great Patriotic War [1] .
In 1945 she defended her thesis for the degree of candidate of historical sciences "From the history of the Don Cossacks XVIII" [2] [3] .
One of the creators of the science of Russian jewelry, the author of more than 50 works. Author and compiler of many books and catalogs: “Russian silver and gold buckets” (1953), “Catalog of Russian enamels on gold and silver products from the collection of the State Historical Museum and its branches” (1962), “Russian jewelry art, its centers and workshops” (1974); "Silver Masters" (1981) and others. The stamps that illustrate these books were mostly traced by herself [4] .
In 1971 she defended her doctoral thesis [2] .
From 1977 and almost until the end of her life, she continued to work in the State Historical Museum as a senior research assistant-consultant [2] .
In November 1978, for the first time , she represented the USSR at Sotheby ’s auction for selling Russian silver items and bought unique works for the Historical Museum and the Hermitage [2] .
Died in Moscow, buried in the Vagankovo cemetery [1] .
Family
Husband (since 1926) Alexander Vasilyevich Postnikov, a railway engineer, teacher at the Institute of Transport Engineers , repressed in 1929, died in a camp in 1932.
Son Michael, lawyer (1929–1992), granddaughter Maria, great-granddaughter Catherine.
