Biography

Born on February 11, 1904 in Stockholm in the family of the famous scientist-chemist (1868-1942) and Signe Elisabeth Dilner (1871-1953) [2] . Her father was an active public figure and, in particular, was the initiator of the creation of the Union of Societies (Federation) “ ” [1] in 1935; he was also the first chairman of this organization [2] .

Higher education Eva Palmer received at Stockholm University , received a degree in Philosophy. She worked at the Nobel Institute of Chemistry, then at the Swedish Academy of Engineering. From her youth, she took part in the movement of world defenders, was a member of the leadership of the national committee for the defense of peace, and participated in a . She worked as secretary in the union of societies “Sweden - Soviet Union”, in 1972 she became the general secretary of this organization, in 1978 she was elected chairman of this organization [1] and remained in this position until 1987. In 1985 she became a laureate of the International Lenin Prize "For the consolidation of peace between peoples" for 1983-1984 [1] .
