Geography
The village is located on the shore of the Gashkinsky pond ( Singer Lake), 21 km east from the center of the settlement of Proletarsky and 24 km south-west from Gorokhovets .
History
In the 19th and first quarter of the 20th century, the village was part of the Kozhinsky volost of the Gorokhovetsky district , since 1926 - as part of the Gorokhovets volost of the Vyaznikovsky district . In 1859 [2] there were 10 courtyards in the village, in 1905 [3] - 20 courtyards, in 1926 [4] - 19 courtyards.
Since 1929, the village has been the center of the Gashkinsky Village Council of the Gorokhovetsky District , since 1940 - as part of the Chulkovsky Village Council , since 2005 as part of the Denisovsky rural settlement .
