Biography
Victor Petrovich Rubtsov was born on October 16, 1937. In his youth he was engaged in rowing, received the title Master of Sports of the USSR. He was the champion of Moscow, in the crew of the eight - the champion of the Central Council of the sports society " Petrel ".
In 1956, after graduating from the Moscow Machine-Tool College with a degree in Electrical Equipment of Industrial Enterprises, he entered the Moscow Power Engineering Institute for the same specialty. In 1962 he graduated from the institute, entered the graduate school of MPEI.
In 1968 he defended his thesis on "Development of stepper motor control systems." In 1987 - a doctoral dissertation. In 1988, he was awarded the academic title of professor. In 2002 V. Rubtsov was awarded the title “Honored Professor of MPEI” and the sign “Honored Worker of Higher Professional Education of the Russian Federation”.
From 1987 to 2002, V. P. Rubtsov worked as head of the department of “Automated Electrotechnological Installations (ETU) and Systems”. At the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, he lectured in the disciplines Modeling in Engineering, Mechanisms and Drives of ETU, Computer and Microprocessor Technique in Electrical Equipment, Elements of Control Systems for ETU, Automatic Control of ETU, etc.
Research interests: drives of electrotechnological installations, electric furnace control systems, stepper motors, etc.
Under the guidance of a scientist at the institute, 25 master's theses were prepared and defended (Shcherbakov A. V. Elizarov V. A. Nekhamin I. S. [1] ) and 3 doctoral dissertations.
V. P. Rubtsov has about 150 copyright certificates and patents, is the author of about 350 scientific works [2] .
