For 14 years he lived and worked in Milan , since 1867 - mainly in Turin . The early stage of Tabaka’s work is marked by monumental works - a bronze statue of Cavour for his Milan monument ( 1865 , with a pedestal decorated with an allegorical figure of Italy by Antonio Tantardini ), a statue of Dante for the Victor Emmanuel gallery in Milan, a monument to the engineer Paleocapa , created to open the Montesenis tunnel , marble group " Hugo Foscolo and Teresa."
From the late works of Tabacca , the flirtatious “Bather” ( Italian: Tuffolina ), dressed in leotards and throwing herself into the water, is well known and staged in several cities. Portraying young women, Tabaki gave them grace and demonstrated the subtlety of technology, however, contemporaries of his work seemed too sensual. However, in later years Tabacci continued to work as a monumentalist, creating, in particular, a monument to Victor Emmanuel II in Padua and Umberto I in Asti .
