Biography
He was born on December 3, 1917 in Irkutsk, where his parents met, who almost simultaneously arrived in Irkutsk at the beginning of the 20th century. Father - Itsko-Meer Leiser (Isai Lazarevich) Iokhimovich - originally from Poland , mother - Genya Gershevna (Anna Grigoryevna) Selector - from Ukraine. In 1929, the family moved to Novosibirsk.
In 1936, David Iokhimovich graduated from Novosibirsk Secondary School No. 50, in 1938 he was sent to the All-Union Communist Institute of Journalism at the Central Executive Committee of the USSR . But in the same year, the institute was liquidated (Decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of April 16, 1938). Education - the highest pedagogical and higher political - David Iohimovich received after the war: he graduated from the Higher Party School and the historical and philological faculty of the Novosibirsk Pedagogical Institute [1] .
During the Great Patriotic War
He participated in the Great Patriotic War . In June 1941, Iokhimovich was drafted into the Red Army (volunteered [2] ) and sent to Tomsk to study at an artillery school. After graduating from the military course of the 1st Tomsk Artillery School, Iokhimovich from the first months of 1942 was in the active parts of the Western Front . He was the deputy commander for the combat unit of the 5th howitzer battery (296th howitzer artillery regiment of the 1st howitzer artillery brigade of the 3rd artillery division of the High Command Reserve ). During the Battle of Kursk , July 19, 1943, the commander of a battery fire platoon, Lieutenant Iohimovich [3], was seriously wounded [4] : he received shrapnel wounds from a bomb , in his right temple and both hands [1] . One of the fragments broke his helmet , entered the temple, however, David Iokhovich survived. The splinter remained in the right temple for 20 years and was removed only in the summer of 1963.
For that battle D. Iokhimovich was presented for the award - the Order of the Red Star:
Comrade In his battle with the German invaders, Iokhimovich proved himself a courageous and brave commander.
His platoon being on direct fire reflected the counterattacks of the enemy infantry and tanks, the platoon destroyed three machine-gun points that impeded the advance of our infantry, before the platoon of machine gunners, scattered and partially destroyed the enemy infantry company. Being seriously wounded, he did not resign from the platoon commander until a counterattack was repelled.
Shortly after being wounded, Senior Lieutenant Iokhimovich was demobilized . Since January 1944, he is a journalist for the Krasnoarmeyskaya Zvezda newspaper of the Siberian Military District [1] .
He joined the CPSU (b) in 1943.
Creativity
He began to print even in his school years: in the magazine "Red Siberian", in the newspapers " Soviet Siberia ", "Young Leninist", "Novosibirsk Worker" published his reports, correspondence, reviews, essays. He was a child (correspondent for children) of the Siberian Children's Journal (later - “Comrade”) [5] .
Already in 1932, David Iokhovich was present as a correspondent for the regional Komsomol newspaper Bolshevik Smena (later Youth of Siberia ) at the West Siberian Regional Energy Congress [1] .
From 1936 until the start of World War II, D. Iokhimovich managed to get rich journalistic experience, working both on the radio and in various print media. He was a literary editor, editor-in-chief of the literary and dramatic broadcasting of the Novosibirsk Regional Committee for Radioification and Radio Broadcasting (1937-1938), special correspondent of the editorial office of the "Latest News" regional committee for Tomsk District of the Novosibirsk Region. In addition, he was a correspondent for the newspaper Sovetskoe Art , a correspondent for the newspapers Bolshevik Smena, Young Leninist, The Medical Worker (in the Novosibirsk Region and Altai Territory ), several central newspapers in Western Siberia, and a freelance literary employee of the newspaper Sovetskaya Sibir " [1] .
Work at TASS
Since July 6, 1944, he linked his fate with the Telegraph Agency of the Soviet Union (TASS) . In the fall of 1944, he also became a freelance correspondent for the Sovinformburo in the city of Novosibirsk and the Novosibirsk Region, and on December 1 he was hired as his own correspondent, part-time. In TASS, he was a correspondent for the Novosibirsk region, from 1965 - TASS correspondent for the Novosibirsk and Tomsk regions , from 1976 to 1986 - for the Novosibirsk region, then - director of the Novosibirsk regional TASS center, in the 1960s, additionally - TASS correspondent for the Novosibirsk Academgorodok . In 1953, under the leadership of D.I. Iokhimovich in the Tatarsky and Barabinsky districts began working points correspondent-part-time correspondent TASS in the Novosibirsk region [1] .
In addition to work in TASS, D.I. Iokhimovich performed with essays and feuilleton in such publications as Izvestia , Pravda , Literary Life, Literary Newspaper , Crocodile , Siberian Lights .
The first work of Iokhimovich is “The Feat of Kiri Baev, ” created in 1957 in collaboration with A. Golenkova.
In 1959, a play based on the play “More Expensive than Life” was written at the Novosibirsk Theater for Young Spectators , written in collaboration with M. S. Ombysh-Kuznetsov [6] [7] .
Literary Aliases
The writer was published both under his own name and under the pseudonym D. Zolotov. In pre-war publications, the pseudonyms “David Storm” and “Shamil” are found, in the early 1950s - “D. Davydov ” [1] .
