The Olympic flag , which accompanied three codes at once: EUN, IOA and IOP
The IOC codes are three-letter abbreviations defined by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) for all national Olympic committees (NOCs) and other groups of athletes participating in the Olympic Games of our time. Although the standard codes of ISO 3166-1 were adopted as their basis, they do not always match. Another similar system is the FIFA country codes , see also the differences between the FIFA, IOC and ISO codes .
