Biography
Ivan Ivanovich Strelchenko was born on May 12, 1925 in a Mayevsky farm in the Slavic district of the Krasnodar Territory in a large peasant family in which there were five children - two brothers and three sisters. He began his working life at the age of 14. In 1939 he was convicted.
In World War II
In March 1943 he was drafted into the Red Army and served until 1950. From February 1944 to April 1945 he took part in the battles with the Nazi invaders. shooter of the 1st Infantry Battalion of the 209th Guards Rifle Regiment of the 73rd Guards Rifle Division . [2] .
After the army
After demobilization, from August 1950 he began his career in drilling office No. 1 of the Chernomorneft trust as an assistant driller, and then on December 12, 1950 he was transferred to drilling office No. 2.
From January 1953 until his retirement Ivan Ivanovich worked as a driller in the Krasnodarburneft trust, which in 1970 was renamed the Akhtyrskoye Drilling Department.
Labor Feat
In 1959, for outstanding achievements in the development of the oil and gas industry, I. Strelchenko was awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor, by a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of March 19, 1959 with the award of the Order of Lenin and the Gold Medal " Hammer and Sickle ".
I.I. Strelchenko died on December 6, 1998 and was buried in the Mayevsky farm in the Slavic region of the Krasnodar Territory.
