Biography
Anna Nikitichna Silchenko was born on November 28, 1907 in the Yastrebovsky farm of the Kuban region, now the Crimean region, in a peasant family [1] .
Since 1918, she began working in her native farm, working in agriculture. In 1929 she joined a collective farm organized on a farm. During the German occupation from August 1942 to March 1943 she experienced horrors with her young son. In front of her, the Germans beat her son for a rush of German telephone communications. Survived all the difficulties of the occupation [2] .
During the restoration of the collective farm "Ukraine" in 1943 was appointed a link. For receiving a good harvest in 1946 she was awarded the medal "For Labor Valor" [2] . On the collective farm, its link had a fixed area of 22 hectares of wheat, yield up to 30 centners per hectare, 5 hectares of barley, also a good harvest, 10 hectares of corn - 40 centners per hectare, 2 hectares of green peas, 5 hectares of sunflower and 10 hectares of tomato.
In 1948, A. N. Silchenko was awarded the high title of Hero of Socialist Labor for the receipt of high yields of wheat and corn (32.11 centners of wheat per hectare on an area of 8 hectares) by the collective farm, by decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of May 6 1948 with the presentation of the Order of Lenin and the Golden Medal " Hammer and Sickle " [3] ..
In 1948 she moved from Abinsky to the Crimean region and joined the Druzhba collective farm, where she worked until her retirement due to health reasons in 1955. [2]
In 1970 she was awarded the medal "For Labor Valor." [4] .
She died in 1977 in the Crimean region.
