Denouillet, Louis Claude

Louis Claude Joseph Florence Denouillet ( Fr. Louis Desnoyers ; February 23, 1802 [3] , Replonge , Rhone - Alps , France - and December 12, 1868 , Paris ) - French journalist , editor and prose writer . One of the founders of the Society of French Writers (1837).

Biography

He studied at Autun and Macon . He taught humanities at Otyun College, led by his older brother.

In 1828 he moved to Paris, took up journalism, which became his true vocation. The first articles published in the newspapers Le Globe and Le Figaro . In 1829, he founded his own journal, Journal rose, which published his witty and satirical articles.

In 1830, he signed with other Parisian journalists and writers a protest against the July ordinances , which suppress freedom of the press.

After the French revolution of 1830, he ceased to engage in journalism and returned to his homeland. The following year he returned to Paris and collaborated with Le Figaro , Le Corsaire, La Caricature , Le Charivari , and published critical articles in Le National .

In 1836 he founded the newspaper Siècle, which quickly gained great popularity.

He was buried in the Pere Lachaise cemetery .

He is known as the author of several novels for young people, vaudeville (under the pseudonym Derville), humorous articles and essays.
