Charlotte Berger made her debut in literature as a translator of primarily French poetry. At an early stage of her work, she published poems of her own composition, among them were poetic historical anecdotes. Her husband, composer Goran Johan Berger, composed music for some of her poems [3] . The most popular poem by Charlotte Berger was the ballad “Korset på Idas grav” (Cross on the grave of Ida) (1816) [4] .
