Kaya Ziemek ( Polish: Kaja Ziomek ; born August 3, 1997 , Lubin , Poland ) is a Polish speed skater , multiple winner of the World Junior Speed ​​Skating Cup , the Polish national championship in speed skating in junior and adult age categories, as well as other local and international competitions [2] . Biography

Kaya Ziemek was born in Lubin , Lower Silesian Voivodeship , Poland . From the age of ten, she began professionally engaged in speed skating. Since 2007 she has been training at the MKS Cuprum Lubin club. In the club, Piotr Wawnikiewicz ( Polish. Piotr Wawnikiewicz ) is responsible for its preparation, and in the national team is Krzysztof Niedzwiedzki ( Polish. Krzysztof Niedzwiedzki ). Married to a Polish skater - Marcin Bachanek [3] .

The performance of Zёmek at the 1st stage of the World Cup in speed skating among juniors of the 2016/2017 season ended with a bronze medal held in the Belarusian capital - Minsk . On January 18, 2017 at the Minsk Arena in the women's team race with a result of 1: 32.94 (+1.77 - 70 points), the Polish team took third place.
