Career

Engaged in cycling since 7 years. The pupil of the cycling club “Favorite”, Vyborg [4] . Since 2010 - Member of the Leningrad Region cycling team. Since 2014, he was a member of the junior national cycling team on the highway. Repeated winner and medalist of the Championships of Russia on the highway and on the track. In 2015, he signed a professional contract with the Italian team of Viris Maserati-Sisal-Matchpoint . Since 2018, he has been playing for the Gazprom-RusVelo team. Studying at Moscow University of Physical Education.

In June 2018, he became the winner in the general classification of the Anderovo version of the Giro d'Italia - Giro Ciclistico d'Italia (aka Girobio or Baby Giro). Vlasov intercepted the pink jersey of the leader of the general classification just before the 2nd part of the final 9th stage of the multi-day race and kept it at the finish line [5] . Here is what the general manager of Gazprom-RusVelo Renat Khamidulin said about this victory [6] :

We have developed such a training plan in order to get in good shape to the crucial stages. Therefore, the beginning was predictably difficult, and a rigid bunch of key stages - all this was ahead, and it was necessary to go through them at the peak of form. Vlasov added with each stage. The race was very difficult ... Heavy stages, large elevations, legendary peaks ... Vlasov is a classic-looking multi-day traveler who rides beautifully into long mountains. I think he has a great future.
