Born on 12.08.1934 in the village of Lezhny, Rudnyansky District, Western (later - Smolensk) Region.
He graduated from the seven-year school. In 1949-1953, he worked as a hammerman of the Banner of Labor collective farm in the Medyn district of the Kaluga region, then as a blacksmith at the Kremenskaya MTS. In 1953-1956 he served in the Army. Since 1956 a member of the CPSU.
In 1956, he arrived in Leningrad and entered the tire factory of the production association “Red Triangle”, where he worked for 32 years - until he retired. He worked as a tire collector, service instructor, deputy head of a workshop.
According to the results of the Eighth Five-Year Plan (1966-1970), he was awarded the Order of Lenin for high achievements.
By the decree of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR of January 15, 1974, for outstanding achievements in fulfilling and over-fulfilling the plan tasks, high technical and economic indicators in the work were awarded the title Hero of Socialist Labor.
Since 1988 - a personal pensioner of union value.
He lives in St. Petersburg.
Three times he was elected deputy of the Leningrad City Council of Workers' Deputies.
He was awarded two Orders of Lenin (April 20, 1971, January 15, 1974) and medals.
