The I Women's Volleyball League of Nations tournament was held from May 15 to July 1, 2018 with the participation of 16 teams. The winner was the US team .

Content

Participants and competition system

16 teams took part in the debut tournament of the Volleyball League of Nations:

Main teams : Brazil , Germany , Italy , China , Netherlands , Republic of Korea , Russia , Serbia , USA , Thailand , Turkey , Japan ;
applicants : Argentina , Belgium , Dominican Republic , Poland .

At the preliminary stage in the period from May 15 to June 14, the teams played each one round in the tour system. In the final round, which was held from June 27 to July 1 in Nanjing ^[1] , six teams advanced, including the Chinese team as its organizer. Within the framework of the final round, matches were held in one round in groups of three teams, then the top four played the semifinal matches and the finals for the 1st and 3rd places.

Teams that have the status of the main, retain the right to participate in the next tournament draw. The worst of the candidate teams will give place in the League of Nations-2019 to the winner of the Candidates Cup ^[2] .
