Biography
In the 70s, he was closely associated with the Communist Marxist-Leninist Party (revolutionary) (since 2005 it has been called the Communist Party). He made his debut in Gothenburg , speaking to the striking port workers in May 1974 (See “Stöd de strejkande hamnarbetarna”). The following year, his first music album, En järnarbetares visor, was released at the proletarian culture company ( Swede. Proletärkultur ).
In 1979, he sold his guitar and broke with KPML (p). But having received a new guitar from his friend, he again took up music. The next album, Vildmarken, released in 1987 , shows a decline in political tone. According to Berglund, the album sold poorly, despite the fact that it was well received by critics. After 11 years, his musical collection was released, and then there was a break until 2007 , when a new music album, “Såna som vi ...” was released
A strong influence on the work of Berglund was provided by Bob Dylan , Leonard Cohen , Ivar Lu-Johansson , Pablo Neruda , Joyce Carol Oates , Cervantes and Wislava Shimborskaya .
Berglund continues to give concerts, performs his old songs, though, having changed some of the lyrics.
