History
One of the oldest in Barnaul, known since the middle of the XVIII century.
The first name, Kuznetskaya, was named after the Kuznetsk prison , to which it set the direction. The modern name received by the decision of the Barnaul City Council in 1902 to the 50th anniversary of the death of the great Russian writer Nikolai Vasilyevich Gogol [1] .
