Biography
Massena (NY) Police Officer, Member of the Lake Placid Snow Birds Bobsleigh Club. He competed at the Olympics in 1948 and 1952, in 1948 he became the champion among the crews of fours, in 1952 he won silver medals among twos and fours. World Champion of 1949 and 1950 in fours [1] , silver medalist of 1950 (deuces) and 1951 (deuces and fours).
Two-time champion of North America among the fours (1951, 1956), three-time champion of North America among the fours (1951, 1953, 1956), three-time champion of the USA among fours (1955, 1956, 1957) and six-time champion of the USA among fours (1940, 1941, 1953 , 1954, 1956, 1957). He won one of his victories in 1940 in tandem with Catherine Dewey - the only female champion in bobsled.
